How to quickly create a 3D body of a bent sheet part in AutoCAD.

— Using a polyline to build the profile of a bent part.

— using the squeeze command applied to the polyline, we build a plane by setting the size of the extrusion, for example, 200 mm.


— using the «Add thickness» command, type THICKNESS (_Thicken) in the command line and press Enter, applied to the plane to create a 3D body. Moreover, by setting the thickness you can specify a negative value then change the direction of building thickness.
